☆☆2014 Healthy Hair Journey Challenge☆☆

☆Every 3 months a special prize will be awarded to the most committed beauty☆

Important: You can only win once.

It's time to resume or start your healthy hair journey you've been looking forward to (natural or relaxed). We are in this together and will achieve the goals we set forth in "2014". It won't be easy and it will require consistency and commitment. However, you can do it! Protective styles can be incorporated rather you're protecting your hair with weaves or your own hair.
Let's do it and take charge with our actions. Accept this invitation to start your journey. I will be updating this blog with helpful tips and ideas frequently. You too, must upload your progress by following all the details below.

1. First post your starting length check pic (back/front shot) to Maintain Your Beautiful Hair page.

2. Document your journey with pics and notes in your personal log. Please, keep track in order to see your progress.

3. Post your monthly length check pics to Maintain Your Beautiful Hair page.

10 Effective ways to start your “Hair Journey”

1. Cleanse your mind of any negativity. E.g. My hair can’t grow.

2. Evaluate the condition of your hair. E.g. Lack of moisture, bad ends etc.

3. Invest in sulfate free shampoos. “Suggestions only” Moroccan Argan Oil by Organix, As I Am Co-Wash etc.

4. Deep condition once a week depending on the lack of moisture (at least 30 minutes). “Suggestions only” 100% Coconut oil, Jojoba Oil, Castor Oil etc.

5. Wash weekly (depending on texture of hair)

6. Trim or dust your split ends regularly. The operative word is “split ends” if you do not have any, you do not need to trim/dust. Recommended 6-8 weeks.

7. Seal and moisturize your ends when needed using a water base

8. Protective styling (roller sets, buns, corn rolls, sew ins (the right way), any style maintaining your ends.

9. Wrap your hair nightly with a Satin Scarf.

10. Stay away from heat. Curling wands, flat irons, blow dryers (high heated setting), heat rollers etc.
