Do you often say you need to take better care of your hair? Some of us dread to begin this so-called hair journey, due to the commitment and responsibility that comes along with it. It doesn’t honestly take lots of money neither would it be as tedious as you’d think. Initially yes, time will be the number one factor of how well you will achieve your goal. Below I’ve listed some basic common tips that can help you begin your journey. You have to start somewhere. Like and spread the word. Let’s see who’s serious about bringing their hair back to life. I’ve started what are you waiting on?
1. Cleanse your mind of any negativity. E.g. My hair can’t grow.
2. Evaluate the condition of your hair. E.g. Lack of moisture, bad ends etc.
3. Invest in sulfate free shampoos. “Suggestions only” Moroccan Argan Oil by Organix, As I Am Co-Wash etc.
4. Deep condition once a week depending on the lack of moisture (at least 30 minutes). “Suggestions only” 100% Coconut oil, Jojoba Oil, Castor Oil etc.
5. Wash weekly (depending on texture of hair)
6. Trim or dust your split ends regularly. The operative word is “split ends” if you do not have any, you do not need to trim/dust. Recommended 6-8 weeks.
7. Seal and moisturize your ends when needed using a water base moisturizer and seal with oil of your choice.
8. Protective styling (roller sets, buns, corn rolls, sew ins (the right way), any style maintaining your ends.
9. Wrap your hair nightly with a Satin Scarf
10. Stay away from heat. Curling wands, flat irons, blow dryers (high heated setting), heat rollers etc
